BRING YOUR BOO-BOOS
It's ready. She thinks. Penelope has been developing a magical item (this one looks similar to a wand) that will detect when a person is sick, injured, getting sick, etc. There are four different levels. Penny calls them grow up, get a band-aid, go see a healer, and oh shit u dyin. Technically, they aren't quite like that. Level 1 (Glows Green): Small bruises, scrapes, minor allergies, etc. Things that really require no attention. Level 2 (Glows Yellow): Bruises that may require ice, sprains, cuts that will need a band-aid, the early warning sign of colds/flus/etc, and allergies that may require attention, and the very very early signs of serious illnesses (like heart disease, blood pressure and cholesterol that's getting abnormally high) etc. Level 3 (Glows Orange): Cuts that need stitches, fractured bones, full-blown and likely not getting better any quicker colds/flus, the pre-stages of serious illnesses (pre-diabetes, very high blood pressure and cholesterol that requires attention but not hospitalization) and finally, Level 4 (Glows Red): Broken bones, illnesses and ailments that are likely already showing symptoms outwardly but are worse internally, dangerously and life-threatening high blood pressure and cholesterol that requires immediately attention before a heart attack etc. The wand itself also has a mechanism that will tell you what is wrong. For instance, when run over a small contusion, the word contusion will manifest on the object.
There are still flaws, of course. It's not at all near perfected - but she's been tirelessly working on it so she wants to test and see if it's close, or if at least part of it is working as it should. She has not been able to reliably test it's sensitivity or accuracy because she's only been using it on herself so far, though it's glowed a few times when she felt fine so she thinks it's range is better than she's hoping. Needing new subjects, Penelope has gathered several volunteers to come and see if her device can accurately detect what is wrong with them.
So, she sends the word out earlier in the day that Saturday just after dinner but before the party and anon post she is going to test her device and asks them to meet her in the Atrium. She figures the space is large enough to test sensitivity and most people will be out doing other things at that point, so interference may be minimal. She hasn't cordoned it off or anything though, so observers are welcome!
HOW THIS WORKS
- Volunteers come up one by one and allow Penelope to wave the wand over them without saying anything. The wand should glow the appropriate color and display the correct ailment. She'll show it to them and they can confirm or deny if that's the problem.
- If your character has an illness or something that is sensitive/secret, they can wait until the others are gone or decide not to do it.
- The wand may be magical but I'm not so please let me know what's wrong with them!
- You can say your character "signed up" earlier when she asked or have them observe and decide to join in.

TEST SUBJECTS
Re: TEST SUBJECTS
Re: TEST SUBJECTS
"Do you have a heart condition or something?"
Re: TEST SUBJECTS
"They fixed it when I was born! Well, not when I was born, exactly? They should have, but they missed it? For a while." She leans in close and adds, "I could have died!" with a remarkable amount of cheer, considering the subject.
Re: TEST SUBJECTS
She seems pretty okay with almost having died, but then she was a kid. "That's bad-ass. No wonder you're so fuckin' strong. Glad you didn't die, Merc."
