HI DAD!
I can't believe I'm going to be HOME soon??? This year has been CRAZY. Like, GOOD crazy because I've been really BUSY not GHOSTS crazy or!!! I hope you get to be home when I get back because I'm gonna tell you about QUIDDITCH and the PLAYS and BOOK CLUB and how we're going to have to communicate through LETTERS now if we want to finish this book together and also about GRADING ESSAYS which isn't the MOST fun thing I did but is also kind of cool????
[...] There was ONE thing I wanted to tell you about before I got home though!!
So LIKE, [...] one of the things about doing the SCHOOL team is that professional SCOUTS come to the games. Like not JUST the school team games but the house games too (did I tell you my house won the Cup??? We won the Cup!!!!). And after like one of the games a COUPLE of them came up to talk to me.
DON'T WORRY, I'm not gonna like DROP OUT OF SCHOOL for Quid or anything. I KNOW Mom would drag me back by my EAR and that hurts??? But [...] I had to at LEAST think about the idea of playing Quid. After school. Which like, okay, I KNOW that's always been like a BIG NO.
I asked MOM about it though. Like about when you had to stop playing football??? [...] And she TOLD me that it was REALLY hard for you and a lot of people were DISAPPOINTED, but also that you were like [...] free?? afterwards? Because you had to CHOOSE who you wanted to be instead of just following someone ELSE'S path. So I wanted to CHOOSE what I wanted to do, not JUST what you or Mom or Rhia or Dre wanted for me, which was SUPER hard because I basically want to be ALL of you at once sometimes.
So I THOUGHT about it, and like how much I really like playing and how great it is to be out on the field and outside, and playing with other schools and internationally I met SO many cool people. And learning STRATEGIES and LEADING people was also amazing??? [...] But also like REALLY stressful when it came to pressure to win and do better than the last game. Which you maybe know some people get SUPER SERIOUS about.
[...] ANYWAYS, I thought about it. Like, a LOT. And I don't want you to worry, because I'm NOT going to take those guys up on their offers. I MEAN, I PROBABLY wouldn't like living in Alaska or Kentucky. But even if MORE people talk to me next year or in the future or anything, I decided I didn't want to. I want playing to still be FUN?? [...] I GUESS I didn't have to tell you about this if I'm not taking them up anyways, but [...] it's IMPORTANT to me that you know that I wasn't worried you would be disappointed in me or anything if I DID want to play. I chose NOT to because I knew you'd be happy for me no matter WHAT. [...] So I sort of wanted to THANK you for that.
UM, I GUESS that was what I wanted to say??? I'll see you in JUST A COUPLE WEEKS so if there's anything I FORGOT then I'll MAYBE remember it then.
