We have to have faith. I know that's easier said than done, but [...] what keeps me going is my belief in Brother. That no matter what happens in here, no matter what we have to sacrifice, no matter what misery is inflicted upon us, that if we keep hope in our hearts and work hard to restore his heart then he will restore us.

The alternative is giving in to misery and giving up. And that's what the mimics want.
