[Kurt's quill hovers over the page for too long before he decides that yes, he is going to write it after all:]
KENZIE:
If I wasn't home for a little while this summer, do you think you could check in on Ramses? Please? I know everyone who works in the stables are really good at their jobs, and I know that he spends most of the year without me anyways, but I [...] don't want him to get lonely.
[Pasted into the ward is the front page of a pamphlet for the National Forest Youth Warden program, which "helps young witches and wizards thrive by teaching them vital survival, environmental, and teamwork skills." The copy is corny, but at least the photographs—depicting delightfully diverse groups of teenagers smiling at each other and thinking at maps—are nice.]
[...] Does this look OK?
JUNIOR RIBBONFINS:
How do you study when you want to do better than "fine?"
Is there a special trick to writing your notes?
Do flash cards really work?
Are practise tests real tests?
Does Mr. Calderon-Boot really put trick questions on Junior exams?
Can we start an exam study group?
MERDE!
