Cole doesn't understand Calvin's instant resignation or downcast eyes or soft voice, but he knows that he's said the wrong thing. He shakes his head and his lips thin into a small frown. "You're not confused, Calvin. I'm always the one that's confused. I don't...know how I think of you?" He goes quiet for a moment, obviously struggling to find what he wants to say. Talking is hard, though. Why is talking always so hard?
