Xavier's smile tightens. He knows that saying 'don't worry about it' is literally the worst, most ineffective thing you could say to Ravinder Dhaliwal. He's seen the look a hundred times to know it. Maybe a thousand.

"Yeah, I mean..." Zav's tongue leadens. What he wants to say sits heavy in his stomach. Maybe it would be better to get it out. And if you can't talk to the guy that's twice held your head together after you cracked it open on a rock who the hell else are you going to talk to? Ravi's been there for Xavier more than his own parents. And, oh god, in a few months they're all going to graduate.

Xavier turns to interrupt the course of that thought. He looks Ravi over. "It's stupid," He says, picking a bit of fuzz off of Ravi's shoulder. His expression eases into a grin. "But, yeah, I'd like to talk about it. Not now, though. Later."

"It's party time, anyway. And you're excited." He teases. "Look at how nice your hair is. Look at this well dressed gent."
