Ravi looks at Diego's hand for a second. It's ridiculous to hesitate. It's just a hand, and everyone knows about them already, especially anyone in Ribbonfin who might have reservations about Ravi's taste in boyfriends. Holding hands is the least objectionable thing he could do in this situation.

It must be so unromantic how he much he overthinks these things. Ravi shakes his head with a laugh, and takes Diego's hand. "You showed up at LARP on his birthday and serenaded him with the guitar. As far as surprises go, this one strikes me as rather mild." Ravi ducks his head, embarrassed. "But not unwelcome."
