Solomon is slightly drunk and slightly sleepy and star gazing when he sees the shooting star. He lights up because wow, that's rare and beautiful and just trash shooting through the air but it looks great. He was raised in a very superstitious family, and he doesn't buy into that, but he does believe that what you give to the universe will be returned to in terms of energy.
