There is definitely no point in being subtle. Penelope's interest in Etta had never been anything but blatantly obvious, but maybe that's because she never thought of having a relationship with her. Etta didn't seem the type to want that kind of thing, so Penelope had always kept her mind on the casual. She couldn't deny that Etta had been a very good to Penny, helped her when she'd needed it.
