"Well, hey!" Cameron says, eyes lighting up at the sight of one of the most familiar people today, if only because he was there when he woke up. He's made a habit today of not calling anyone by name. What if they have a nickname they prefer? What if he has them confused, seeing as he has only learned any names within the past few hours? What if he was misinformed by some of the people who, he feels, have tried to use the confusion to be mischievous? Better not to risk it.

"Of course!" Cameron replies with an easy smile. "Not real sure how good I am at chess, but I'm pretty sure I do know how to play. Can't remember my parents' names but I know chess. Funny, ain't it?"
