We should definitely respect their cultural practices. They're a totally different species we could never get on their tiny level.

Except, what if hamsters have been zombies all along? But they only eat hamster brains and that's why we've never noticed? Humans have been keeping undead rodents as pets for years completely unaware of their dark origins. I don't want to be involved in necromancy, dude!
