[For twenty minutes or so, Cole draws a very detailed and very precise sketch of a peacefully sleeping Calvin Evercreech in the journal. Those who are inclined, can watch the lines appear and form the image. Then, abruptly, the drawing stops.]

not with sketches. i just don't want to get into a rut. you know, doing the same thing over and over. i think i want to try a mural. think the guys and the powers that be will let me do a mural in our room? it's drab in here anyway.

I've been working on my mom's patronus the last week or so, mostly?
I've tried coloring with pastels, too, but the animating charms aren't sticking to them the same way as pencil shading.

I would know, Cole. I am ALL ABOUT the sophistication and the art.

Don't say that. Most of my teenage fantasies hinge on Calvin hexing me. But yeah, we'd need those big billowy robes we had back in Ilvermorny, then you could SMUGGLE me in. You've grown tall enough for it ;)
