You know Casey and I went to school together way before Gooseberry. And you know he wasn't my favorite guy in the world there or here. But, after working with him so much last week, I think I [...] may've misjudged him. Or misjudged the person he's become, anyway. Because he worked his ass off for the squad and he cares about it a lot and he was actually a good guy to me when I gave him the chance to be. I guess it's been hard for me to see him in a different way because I've known him for so long. I don't know.

So I'm just going to ask you to give him a fair shake. I'm not saying you two should be best friends. I'm not even saying that you shouldn't roll your eyes at all the posturing and the 'brolita's and everything. I just don't want you two not to get along because of me. I didn't mean to divide the squad, but I did and I should've have. I shouldn't have put you in a position where you had to pick sides.

Because next year I won't be here and you two will be and one of you will probably be the squad captain. And I want you guys to be even better than than you are now.
