I know you and Casey have more problems than the ones related to me, but I doubt it helped you to hear all my probably unfair opinions about him and I doubt it helped him to have me [...] antagonizing him about you being the next captain all the time. I still think you ought to be. I still think you've got a better disposition for it than he does and that you've got a better balance of skills to make it work. But me saying that all the time wasn't the right thing to do. And saying it to him, even as a joke, was a dick move.

You're both amazing athletes and really talented. And you could both do the job. I should've kept my mouth shut. I've got to take some responsibility for that.
