Reid had known Zav would get in trouble that night, but he'd been drunk, and the consequences had seemed so far away. They'd wandered an unfamiliar city until dawn, the whole time Reid giddy that the guy he'd been accidentally kind of sort of stalking as a swan was now just a normal person to him. An incredible, normal person he could hold conversations with and not just glare at weirdly from across the room.
Reid hadn't known what Zav's family was like when he'd shrugged and told Zav they didn't have to go back to the party that night. It'd seemed like such a cool thing to do. He'd felt... charming.
Now he just feels kind of guilty.
"... Sorry." He exhales and presses his face into Zav's hair, body curling around him as much as it can in the shared seat. "Where are you gonna go? Like, after all this, you think they'll just ignore you?" Reid's voice strains slightly with worry.
