It's not even about the positives and the negatives. More [...] the things you can change and the things you can't. There's no point in dwelling on the things you can't change and focusing on what you can change, what you want to change, gives you direction. It helps. In my experience, anyway.

But that probably doesn't work for everyone.

I thought about it and I've made my decision.

Group think and peer pressure are stereotypes of our age group and extremely tempting, but I don't want to shave down the person I want to be in order to fit in better. If I do not fit in because of that, I accept it and it's okay. It's worth it. You will always have at least one friend here, Issy.

This is a new year and I plan to better this year.
