Dom couldn't help but grin as she threw herself at him, reaching around her to lift the shorter teen into the air for the hug, allowing her to wrap her legs around him if she wished. Ree's affection and exuberance was catching, and after the horrible year they'd both had (the end of it, at least), he was certainly grateful for it.

"I took a re-route via the library. I'm not working on my damn birthday, but I reserved some books for classes next week." Tilting his blond head down to hers, he gave her a quick kiss and smiled at her, setting her back down on the ground.
