Cole murmurs a soft, surprised 'oh' and then smiles warmly at Pearl, "Thank you." He's never had a ghost compliment his art before. When she puts the small ring into his hand he thanks her a second time and then goes quiet as he examines it. While he hadn't realized it at first, the ring's smooth stone seems to be shifting between colors: from a faint amber to a considerably prettier green. He wonders why. Without much more consideration, he slips it on.
