Grace is definitely panicking before her first match ever as a cheerleader. What if she forgets her moves or freezes up or Yancey drops her or she loses the nerve to shout cheers at the audience? But, to her credit, she hides it decently well as she stretches and focuses on her breathing and clips her short hair back with two fish scale bobby pins so it doesn't get into her face.
Once they get started these fears partially come true. While she manages to hit all of the correct beats in the choreography and nobody drops her, she has a difficult time maintaining eye contact with the crowd of students and keeping her voice loud or bright or clear. On this front, the others will just have to make up for her. When they're finally done her knees feel like water but at least everyone's focused on Popplestone and the rest of the players. And hey! They won! That's great!
