A NEW STAFF MEMBER
[Character X] is out by the lodge around 7:00 AM when they notice a car driving up. A young man gets out of the car, and the driver helps him take out two suitcases and a large plaid patterned trunk. He's greeted by Headmistress Bloom and Ms. Vector, who both shake his hand. He follows them into the lodge, and isn't seen again until dinner.
Over dinner it's announced that, finally, Gooseberry has found a therapist that meets their standards... and is willing to live in the woods for 2/3rds of the year. Meet Dr. Peregrine Waters-Longstreet, a primly dressed young man in large glasses. As soon as Dr. Waters-Longstreet takes the stage, he makes sure to re-introduce himself as simply Dr. Perry. "Some of you are going to be seeing me on a regular basis, but I want all of you to know you're welcome to come talk to me. Nothing's too small. My door's always open."

HOW THIS WORKS
- Guess what we're finally adding! Gooseberry now has a full-time psychologist on its staff. Last year, the individual they almost hired unfortunately had to decline the offer at the last minute, and Headmistress Bloom had to begin her search anew.
- If you would like your character to attend therapy: There will be a comment below that you need to reply to with the following form:
- Attendance will be confidential.
- He insists everyone call him "Dr. Perry" instead of his actual, unusually long name.
- Unfortunately, because this game is large, one on one interaction with NPCs and PCs is a pretty big burden on the mods. We'll do our best to have him present if a character is having a crisis, but mostly we just want to establish that he exists, and students with mental health concerns have this resource. Students are always welcome to drop in and talk to him if they're struggling, and he won't reveal anything said to him unless the student or someone else is endangered.
- Which is to say that we'll ask for your patience and understanding if your character is in crisis and Perry is unable to respond to the incident, or isn't able to talk your character through their feelings in real time.
- Your mods aren't therapists, but we'll do our best!
