Hi, Mom!!

How are you doing? I miss you heaps!!

School is great! I love it here. There are MACUSA agents stationed everywhere and I feel very safe. The staff says there are people from the Spirit division working with the beings living in the forest to council them. We've been co-existing very peacefully! They haven't bothered me at all.

Speaking of counseling, I'm feeling a lot better about things this year! The other day, we had a workshop on Patronuses and I almost cried when I was able to fully conjure mine. Last year when we did this, it felt impossible to think of a memory strong enough to pull from but I've made so many new and happy memories with my friends that it didn't feel like such a hurdle this time around.

I was expecting it to be a ram like Da yours, but then out came a moth from the tip of my wand. It was one of those death's-head hawkmoths... The fat ones with the little skull on their back? Like on the cover of Silence of the Lambs? (The irony of the title in regard to my patronus is not lost on me.) I think it's cute, though. It's just not familiar yet.

Anyway, I just wanted to say thanks for making me see your doctor. The school just hired a th guidance counselor for us and I signed up for regular meetings with him. He seems really nice!

I'll write to you again very soon! The Halloween dance is tomorrow and I'll have heaps of pictures to show you.
