It's the stars that catch Bash's eye before anything else. They're pretty and he's sort of wondering at the potential for charming illuminated constellations onto bedroom ceilings as he scrambles into the booth after Lucas. Busy debating whether or not the girls would like it as he thanks the waitress for the menu, drumming his fingers on the front of it more than really doing any looking.
But then Lucas has his attention once again and he slides a bit closer, just enough to line up the edges of them, all arms and mismatched shoulder blades. It's a 'you're welcome' and a 'thank you' all tangled into one motion.
