He recognizes it all too, senses flooding back. He’d sigh in relief if he particularly felt like sighing. She is the same, even anonymous, under his fingertips. Relief rushes in, and for the first time all week, he’s relaxed. Ferdie lets himself linger in the kiss for a moment too long, breaking away to tilt his head and look at the shifting rainbow of her hair. He wonders a little if it’s permanent, and doesn’t think he’d mind it. “Good.” He says, still very close to her, “you know you’re way too good at hiding.”
