CARNEY PARTY 3; WILD WEST

Saddle up, partner. This New Year’s Eve, we’re heading out west!

The Carney house is decked out in a rustic Wild West theme. The place is covered in hay bales, mason jars, and cacti (even inside). Cameron greets each guest that arrives with a silver pistol that shoots paintballs. For dinner, a house elf catering company appears, cooking barbeque over a pit in the yard. There’s also plenty of alcohol - beer, liquor, wine, you name it.

HOW THIS WORKS

Everyone in the school is invited! As with parties Cameron has held in the past, the rules are simple: have fun, don’t make too much of a mess, and if you break something reparo it. The party starts at 6 PM, and anyone is welcome to stay the night and take the bus back to school from here in the morning.

Characters without costumes can pull an item from the costume chest, but once they pull, they’re obligated to wear it or risk mockery for being a spoilsport. There is also a mechanical bull riding contest out in the yard. The character with the longest ride will win a prize! You may do each of these up to three times, and I’ll keep rnging for them until 11:59 PM on 1/1.

There will be party games including truth, shot, or strip and spin the bottle/seven minutes in heaven.

» FOYER; COSTUME CHEST: Those without costumes are encouraged to pull at least one item from the chest set up in the foyer. Whatever you pull out, you have to wear! The chest is charmed so that you can’t see what you’ve got until you pull it out.

» LIVING ROOM: Have a seat on a hay bale! Or a regular couch.

» BACKYARD: The yard is surrounded by facades that mimic an old western town. There’s a heated pool and a hot tub, but the lows tonight are 21. Beside the pool, there’s a mechanical bull surrounded by padding. If you can go for the longest ride, you’ll win a prize!

» DEN; PARTY GAMES: The den has been set up for party games, including truth, shot, or strip and spin the bottle/seven minutes in heaven.

» BEDROOMS: Anyone is welcome to stay, but it’s up to you to figure out where, because Cameron isn’t organizing it. There are five unlocked bedrooms, plenty of couches and chairs, five full baths, and lots of floor space. Work it out.

» MIDNIGHT: Near midnight, Cameron encourages everyone to stop what they’re doing and come outside, where champagne and sparklers are handed out. The fireworks start about ten minutes til, crescendoing during the countdown, with a big finale at midnight. Grab someone to smooch!

» MORNING AFTER: Who’s hungover and where did you puke? Did you stick around to catch the bus back to school from Olympus?

Spencer finishes off the kiss by lightly biting Austin's bottom lip. Happy New Year!

"Yeah, yeah, Romeo," Hazel responds with a roll of her eyes, though she's got a small smile on her lips as well. Any of her weird feelings about kissing Spencer are covered up by alcohol. Thanks, booze! She leans in for a kiss that isn't aggressive but certainly isn't just a peck, either.

Austin's a sweet boy who deserves kisses from cute boys but probably not being bitten.

"I think it's been a little shorter than that." Scooting a little closer, she smacks her knee into his. "Oh, sorry. But, it's been like... maybe only a decade and a half."

"Probably better." She agrees, leaning in as well to give him a kiss.

"Oh my god. Um! Best ... Lots of girls dress really well?? I like Lilika's style, even though it's like... You know." She waves it away, sipping at her drink. "Annnd worst... That Hogwarts guy? In Coppertale? I think he's a senior. Some thrift store finds need to stay in the thrift store."

"Nothing," Spencer laments. "Micah threw a party but it was real small. I lost at strip poker and ended up naked. Not a great moment for me. And Ruby's been running me to death. We spend most of our time on the ice." He's definitely pulling them in the direction of the mechanical bull outside. He and Ira stand no chance, but it'll be fun.

"How about you? Have a good Christmas? Get anything cool?"

Bianca showed up a little later in the night. Her plan had been to stay at home and watch the ball drop on the no-maj television in her den, but she got bored and antsy after an hour and decided to make the trip out to Cameron's party instead. This was her last year to mess around before she'd be a senior, she may as well have some fun while it was still possible.

The bottle lands on Cash, as he's pretty sure it's just attracted to all of his roommates on purpose at this point. He grins up at him, and stretches his hand out like that's enough to ask permisison, just drunk enough that this seems fine.

Update: Actually there were only like 3 people he hadn't kissed yet anyway so screw it, Ira's kissing all of you, Maine's SUPER BORING bye.

"And I didn't even wear my good chaps." He's determined to make this a probably-joke Hazel will regret later, but he at least lets himself grin this time as he leans in to kiss her.

Heathcliff nods along with the assessment about the girls. He doesn't know much about fashion but Madison does and almost all of them always look pretty put together to him. At mention of Phin, though, he utters a bark of laughter. "Should you tell him or should I?"

"When in Olympus." Ira proclaims, definitely drunk at this point, and leans in to kiss him like that's definitely what the locals do in Olympus. (Isn't it?)

"Here, I can recreate the photocarousel." He remembers this. He lets his face reflect sober/uncomfortable Ira for a full two seconds, before relenting and smiling. This kiss will be less panicked.

For that full two seconds, Avery looks a little worried because he definitely looked uncomfortable - but laughed when he smiled. "At least it's not a stranger this time?"

Bottle or not, Ira is not drunk and or brave enough to do anything but kiss Ruby's cheek It's a very heartfelt cheek-kiss, at least.

Sophomores again. He hesitates for a second, but then leans in anyway. "Your costume's nice." He figures complimenting terrifying sophomores will make them inherently less terrifying, and maybe disarm them a little.

Hazel lets out a very dramatic sigh that almost ends with a laugh. "Man I'm sooooo disappointed." She leans to meet him though, of course, grinning herself.

this is weirdly not the first time that's happened to us we need to coordinate better

How well do you think they’ll do?: Like, medium. She's tenacious and she will use those freakishly long legs to hold on, and also her teeth if need be.

It's pretty much impossible for Hazel to be grinning any more than she is when the bottle lands on Cash. "Ready to kiss your dream boy?" Dream boy is definitely a stretch from their conversation. Feel free to hit her, Cash.
