It is, she thinks, probably the alcohol that makes Addy not immediately rebuff that by saying she's not as good a person as it all seems. By making a joke about all the people she's prooobably made suffer in her short time on earth. She smiles into Nia's cheek instead, pleased in spite of herself. "You make the world better every day, beautiful." She says softly, with quiet conviction. That's true.
And though usually the energy out here is something she'd want on New Years, all of the people she loved best boisterous and hopeful, the idea of something a little more secluded with Nia suddenly sounds very good. She separates just enough to walk, having enough sense to know they're in a slight time crunch. "We could go inside," she offers. "Most everyone's out here. We could get a whole window."
