My brother's here!! I had no idea he was even coming!!!

... Although now I'm kind of sad that my sister isn't here too. I'm going to have to take a MILLION photos of me and Mum and Dad and Ben to send back to Livvy. OH! What should I show them first?? I think we have a little bit of time before the talent show performances start!

Are we 100% sure that absolutely EVERYBODY is inside the lodge?? Because I saw somebody outside in the blizzard! They were looking in through the window, but when I told Mr Hightower he said it was "just" a bear like that was supposed to reassure me?? Even though a BEAR prowling around outside is actually kind of alarming??? ~~Mabel's on her own in the cabin and I'm not there to protect her!~~ But I know what a bear looks like and the person I saw outside was definitely human!!

It's so weird to think that right now everyone at Hogwarts will be going round Hogsmeade doing their Christmas shopping. How do you buy presents for your friends here at Gooseberry?? Do you just owl order everything?

Today, all meals will be planned by the winners of the sophomore bonding event, Philippa Nightingale and Calvin Evercreech. The house elves will execute the following vegan dishes to the best of their ability, as selected by Pippa:

Breakfast: Apple and blueberry bircher or tofu pancakes.
Lunch: Pearled spelt salad with peas and gooseberries or falafel burgers, with cherry and almond brownies for dessert.
Dinner: Sweet potato and coconut curry or vegan shepherd's pie, with sticky toffee pear pudding for dessert.
