CARNEY PARTY 4; HOLLYWOOD
The Carney house is decked out in a glitzy Hollywood theme, in red, black, and gold. Get your picture taken on the red carpet as you approach the front doors. For dinner, there are heavy hors d'oeuvres. There’s also plenty of alcohol - beer, liquor, wine, you name it.
» FOYER; COSTUME CHEST: The costume chest has made a reappearance! When anyone arrives, they’ll be asked to pull one item from the chest. It will be a famous prop or costume piece from a movie. The chest is charmed so that you can’t see what you’ve got until you pull it out. No matter how silly it is, you are required to wear it or have it on hand for the entire evening. If someone catches you without and calls you on it, you have to take a shot. You may return your item and draw again at the penalty of one shot!
» LIVING ROOM: A small stage area and a video camera have been set up in the living area. Get ready to “Make a Scene”! Two or more characters will be given RNGed rolls to play and a basic plot. “yes and…” your way through a scene. The best scene wins a prize!
» BACKYARD: There’s a heated pool and a hot tub. There are tents set up in the yard for overflow sleeping arrangements, but the low tonight is 39, so find someone to snuggle with.
» DEN; PARTY GAMES: The den has been set up for party games: “Most Likely To,” “Attached at the Hip,” and “Never Have I Ever.” Feel free to add others!
» BEDROOMS: Anyone is welcome to stay, but it’s up to you to figure out where, because Cameron isn’t organizing it. There are five unlocked bedrooms, plenty of couches and chairs, five full baths, and lots of floor space. Work it out.
» MORNING AFTER: Who’s hungover and where did you puke?
» OOC - 🎂 Questions, comments, concerns!
HOW THIS WORKS
- Everyone is invited, including graduates! You don’t need to be friends with, or even really know, Cameron to come. The party starts at 7 PM, and anyone is welcome to stay the night. There are spare bedrooms, and since the weather is nice, tents set up on the back lawn.
- When people arrive, they will be given a movie prop which they must wear or carry for the whole night, or risk being caught and required to take a shot!
- There is an improv movie competition where characters will be given RNGed roles and plots. The best scene will win a prize!
- There will be party games including “Never Have I Ever” and “Most Likely To”. Feel free to throw in other games if you want!
- I'll keep RNGing until 11:59 PM PST on 4/1. Winners for Make a Scene and Attached at the Hip will be announced on 4/2

Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Iliya not-so-reluctantly pushes himself into sitting position, to make room for Cameron. "Where are the others?"
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
As a result, he's already had quite a bit to drink when he spots his friends gathering by one of the tents and goes over to join them. He catches the end of Iliya's question and supplies wryly, acknowledging his own uncanny timing, "Speak of the devil." Then he tilts his head and asks, incredulous, "...Turning in already?" It's too early for that. But sitting seems it could be a good idea. He feels a bit off.
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Despite this, he pats the ground next to him as he talks: "Hey Casper, sit down." It comes out a little closer to 'siddown' — he's not trashed, not yet, but between the alcohol and the familiar company, even his mouth has gotten lazy.
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
He pushes back his dark hair and nods a greeting to Kenzie and Iliya. If they were trying to have a privae conversation about Cameron or anything else...he supposes they would've closed the tent flap. Or should have.
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
"Hi, I lost my fucking hoverboard --" Here he probably jostles half the tent trying to find a place he fits. "--Sorry, keep talking about whatever you're talking about. If you were." Drunky.
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
"Now you're all trapped in here until I hear some gossip." She lifts her wand and with a quick swish and a magical word, the tent zips up tightly behind the last Ebonhide. It's not exactly the best security, but they're all drunk, which should make trying to free themselves at least a little challenging.
She could embarrass Iliya by quizzing him about his night with Cameron (which she already did before they were invaded), but he might get actually annoyed with her if she tried it in front of everyone. So instead she turns to Casper. "How's Asher doing?" she asks sweetly. "At the wedding it was like the two of you had never even parted."
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
He scowls, ready to dismiss this, but falters a bit at the mention of Asher. How does she...do this? How the fuck does she always do this? Part of him wouldn't be surprised to learn that the girl is secretly a Legilimens. Not certain yet just what he does and doesn't want to say, he pushes back his hair again and points out dryly, "I just saw him in December. We haven't been 'parted' for long. And he writes. And he's fine."
Then, clearly attempting to change the subject, he looks at Wilde and says, "...How the fuck do you lose a hoverboard?"
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
"Must have been nice to see him," Iliya says to Casper, in a poor attempt to make this line of interrogation seem less like... well, like an interrogation.
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
He could just tell them. It could actually be good to tell them. "...It was fine. He wouldn't let me swim." Or not. He closes his eyes and wishes he'd brought another drink.
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
"Now you know how it feels." And so the protective becomes the protected. How you like them apples, Casper?
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
Kenzie and the Ebonboys
That possibility feels absurd but simultaneously right. Even if there's likely to be some gawking and some crowing and some teasing before any of them will say anything useful. Abruptly, he reaches to grab Wilde's beer and takes a deep drink before handing it back. Then he takes the plunge. Sort of.
"He...wants to. Though."
