We have one game left, and it's against Ebonhide. I'll be honest, our chances don't look good to win but that shouldn't be the only thing that matters. That definitely doesn't mean we go into our last game feeling defeated. I think it would be fun and interesting to shake things up, and try some out of the box strategies and things for our last game. Make it memorable.

So what do you say? Any ideas you've got from watching Ebonhide? Any crazy plays you've seen that you're itching to try out?

Let's make our last game as this team memorable for us AND the school!

There's still technically a chance, so ~~don't be so pessimistic~~ maybe we shouldn't be too ridiculous.

I didn't say we had zero chance, and fortunately, we get to see how many points Azurcrest and Ebonhide get before our last game and can factor that in. But we've had good success at scoring and getting into an unpredictable groove by changing things up, so why not stick with that?

Did you have any ideas yourself, or just searching for input?

Have you seen the Plumpton Pass? I think it'd be useful in a situation where we see the Snitch but we need more points to win.

Also, I think we could work on reverse passing, the Wollongong Shimmy, and the Transylvanian Tackle if we think we can do it without actually fouling.

Maybe the Pokrsoff Ploy, too.

I did a pokrsoff ploy last year. I fancy where this is going.

Quidditch is above all else entertainment. We oughta make this one entertaining.

Likely best most those plays don’t require our beaters to participate. Those two seem more invested in playing for eachother and not the actual team. But I support making the last game an entertaining one.

Right? I like the European plays, and not everyone follows the European strategies as much here so they're less expected.

All of them except the Plumpton.

We'll see what our chances really are after Azurcrest vs. Ebonhide. Hopefully it'll be a low scoring game.

The Chasers are doing well, you lot can stand on your own just fine now. So maybe Ramon and I could focus on their Seeker to drag the game out as long as possible. Gwen can practice her feints. If things go our way we could very well steal second place even if we don't get the cup.

I definitely want to revisit strategy after the Ebonhide/Azurcrest game. But it's just barely four weeks until our last game and for a few of us, our last game at Gooseberry so I want to make it special, you know? Commemorative.

Between the dodging and weaving I think you'll need to protect our chasers less this next game and we need to drag it out as long as possible to get points, so massive Seeker distraction is our best bet. North's great at catching, but she's new and from what I can tell, eager and excitable. Feinting and distraction might work really well on her.

Understandable. Anyone on Ebonhide you'd like Ramon and I to put in the infirmary, Captain? It's your last chance to make requests.

Think we can get a hold of her schedule and her captains'? Gwen can work on her misdirection without worrying about spies.

I'm not very close with any of them... We can possibly utilize Solomon? He's a bit more trusting and good natured than the rest.

Yea, I'm all for practicing the Plumpton move, but I need to do so where the other teams AKA dirty spies don't see me doing it. Or else they'll be watching me closer during the games. Especially Tuesday; she adapts fast and if she gets the same idea, we might be done for.

You could sneak off to the Grotto while Ebonhide's practicing.

Webb might be [...] helpful enough to give us schedules... but not talking isn't exactly one of his strengths.

Seconding this. You have to practice somewhere no one else will be. But DO NOT practice alone.

Coppertale is just as in danger of ending up in third or last as we are, maybe we can get a friendly Coppertale to help us hurt Ebonhide's chances if we help them with Azurcrest?

That's the beauty of playing such a ridiculously unpredictable sport!

Exactly. That's one of the reasons I love Quidditch so much.
