I think I might have tempted the Gooseberry Gods of Irony when I said water was Ribbonfin's natural habitat. The stream was practically to my knees when I went to breakfast this morning and, oh look, it still hasn't stopped raining. I'm from California dammit, bring me back my droughts.

If the mysterious building they're putting up isn't an auxiliary cabin for displaced fishies, anyone volunteer to steal a boat and ferry us over two by two?

We might actually have to resort to boats if this rain doesn't stop any time soon. I dried myself out with magic when I got to the lodge, but these charms are sadly not that effective on shoes.

Oh yeah, my shoes are officially ruined. When I tried to fix a hole in them I think I just trapped more water inside.

Ah, that sounds terrible. I'm sorry, Rosy. I suppose this is why our lockers in the lodge have room for shoes, but usually we don't have to resort to that until winter.

I think the supports are pretty secure, and the cabins themselves are warded against leaks. Well, so long as no one just decided to leave their window open.
