NOTICE: Due to weather conditions, all Ribbonfin students will be staying in the lodge tonight. Please get everything you need from your cabins by 8 PM today, since the prefects will be checking that all windows are closed and doors are locked at that time. Cots and sleeping bags will be provided in the lodge. Mr. Hightower expects the rain will die down sometime tomorrow, so you don't have to pack more than what's needed for one night.

Although the situation isn't horribly dangerous, I'm requesting anyway that all other houses please stay away from the Ribbonfin campground, for safety reasons. Thank you for your cooperation.

Oh, and please take care when you're crossing the stream today! I don't think the water's high enough to overtake the bridges, but I wouldn't want anyone to fall in or drop their books or... whatever other terrible scenarios you can imagine. I probably shouldn't be giving people ideas.

Please make sure every member of your cabin is accounted for. It's going to be chaotic, with everyone running back to the cabins for their things, but I know we can manage it. Or, well, maybe not everyone. It really is miserable out there. The water has not gotten any lower.

I'll be at Ribbonfin until everyone is safely in the lodge, and hopefully between all of us, we can end this day without anyone drowning. (That's me, inappropriately trying for levity. The water isn't deep enough to drown in. I think.)

Sun-mi and I will be at Ribbonfin for most of the day to oversee things and make sure the freshmen are accounted for. I know you can all take care of yourselves, but... please, for our peace of mind (and because you hate to make Sun-mi sad), let us know where you are anyway?

I think we'll be fine, but thank you, Rosy. I say that now, but quite possibly by 7 PM, you'll have all of your roommates bundled up in front of a fire in the Atrium and I'll be begging you to come help me track down a lost freshman in the rain and darkness.

As a special limited time offer, I won't even be snarky about it if that happens.

Honestly, if you could avoid coming back to the camp at all, it would probably be better. I mean, not that it's dangerous, it's just my shoes are never going to be the same again.

Right. I've just seen a ton of people slipping, though, so I may have to sacrifice a principle or two and fight my way to the washroom by the time I'm back.

Yes, of course. There aren't any showers in the lodge, I don't think, so you might as well get one in before we have to be packed together like sardines. (Fish joke. Really, the Atrium is very spacious.)

I could use one too, although I am basically getting a very cold shower right now.

Oh yes! You can. I wouldn't want any of our pets to be abandoned in an empty cabin overnight. We'll find a place for them in the Atrium. Please let one of us know if you need help carrying the cage, or anything like that.
