A belated thank you for nominating me and Gwen for Prom King and Prom Queen! We don't presume that everyone knows who we are -- and we're not really the campaigning/postering types -- so we thought we'd just hold a casual Ask Us Anything here in the journals. Post any questions you might have for us and we'll answer them honestly. We want you to know who we are ~~beyond "isn't that Lilika's friend who plays music?" and "is she the one who likes bees and horses?"~~. If we embody the values you're looking for in Prom Royalty, great! If not, that's okay, too! The best electorate is an informed one.

What's your stance on spiders and unicorns??

My stance? [...] I like insects just fine. But I prefer them outside. If I see a spider I'll cup it and take it outdoors. I have much less experience with unicorns, but I feel very positively about them!

~~Do we need a platform~~ Well, you'd be hard-pressed to find someone who didn't like unicorns. Personally, I really like spiders of all kinds. There's a tiny black and white one that lives on the sill of my window. He or she is pretty cool. ~~Is this a prom thing~~

Wow! Giant Robot Fight? I don't envy the people who have to choose the prom theme, but I will say I've been looking for a reason to wear some steampunk goggles in a formal setting.

I think the point of the ballots is for it to remain anonymous. You don't need to promise to vote for us and tit for tat.

Oh man! Gwen is so thoughtful and genuine and brings out the best in others, including me! She's also just really good at so many things it's intimidating, impressive, and motivating. I'm very proud of her.
