Same to you. Trust no one until we find a method to prove we're not a Mimic. We woke up with one in our group and we found one as a lone straggler along the trail. She conveniently ran off right after we killed the other one.

Scribble all you want. The real London wouldn't have tried to turn us against you. She was more preoccupied with sowing chaos than worrying about her brother and sisters.

If I'm wrong then I'm an asshole and I'll apologise once we're out of here, but I got the same feeling about Jaime when he didn't step up to the sacrificial plate alongside me. Jaime's noble and selfless and brave. These mimics are very good at their mannerisms, but they don't have their hearts.

This London is acting as an agent of chaos. You have to see that. She tried to lead Webster away while Jaime was leading you away. They were working together to separate us. She'll accuse anyone else of being a mimic as long as it throws the heat off of her.

She wasn't worried about any of her family members. She didn't mention them at all. She huffed when we talked about combing the pitch to try to find Brother's heart. She tried to get you killed by accusing you of being a mimic.

And right when we killed the other mimic, she gave up on luring Webster away and disappeared.

This isn't the real world, Lachlan. The Mimic rules we know don't apply. It's all illusion. Even her magic.

Besides, Pear is FINE she told me so over the journals herself and I'm sure Yam is fine too he probably just doesn't have his journal he's not as dumb as he looks and what's the point of getting all those muscles if he can't even defend himself. She was working alongside Jaime to split us up. They can read minds, you know. That's why they were trying to lead the both of you in different directions. She realized Jaime was caught and she bolted.

Because Mimics know each other. She was trying to take the blame off Jaime and pin it on Lachlan. So if I had confronted them after Jaime lead him off, I would have tried to kill Lachlan instead and I would have thought Jaime was choking him in self defense.

Notice how she was trying to lead us away while Jaime was leading Lachlan away? And then when I didn't budge, she suddenly only trusted you? She was trying to lead you off too.

The London issue aside, what should we do if we come across other people?

We should see if we can find Bluebell. If we pick up any stragglers, we bring them to her for confirmation. The three of us can take a mimic down. We'll avoid large groups until they can be confirmed as human.

Mimics are illusions and this isn't our world. Even if they appear to use wand magic, that doesn't mean they're wizards.

I think it's safer to be paranoid in these kinds of situations. We were trusting with Jaime. We know better now. I'm not going to accuse every person we come across of being a mimic without proof, but I'm going to be on my guard around other groups and especially of stragglers until we find a way to prove they're human.

As long as we stick together and don't split off with unknowns, we should be fine. Jaime's mimic was stronger than the real Jaime and he could have easily killed me if I hadn't netted him, but we know they can be killed through normal means.

I think you two should also have backup weapons in addition to your wands. Where's that beater's bat Jaime's mimic had?
