[2025: Reunion] DRUNK ANIMAGUS RACE!
DRUNK ANIMAGUS RACE!!
Who started it? It doesn't really matter. At some point tonight, someone crushed a beer can on their forehead and said to someone else, "Hey, I bet I could beat you to that tree. As a cat." And suddenly it was a big to-do. It's late. The kids are in bed and the parents are more than a little toasted. Participants and onlookers have gathered on shore of Lake Gooseberry for what will surely be the race of the century year month next 4 to 6 hours.
It's muggy, still. Someone's marked a path for the race with stones. And if you shut your eyes and listen really hard you can hear Goosey the Lake Monster silently judging you for what you have become. And I don't mean the fact that you're a slug animagus.

HOW THIS WORKS
- Do two shots, then spin three times on a beater bat, then transform and run as fast as you can.
- Don't drink? Spin six times.
- The race takes you from near the docks outside the lodge down south toward where Ribbonfin's campsite used to be. With everything overgrown, the track stops about halfway there.

FUN ANIMAL FACT: Australian shepherds were popular rodeo dogs in the 1950s and 60s. Three rodeo dogs belonging to Jay Sisler appeared in Disney movies around that time.
