I found footprints all around our cabin when I got up this morning, but none actually entering or leaving. It looked like they came from the forest.

I would have to inquire on exact campus rules regarding such measures, but a localised stunning curse around the perimeter of the cabin with recognition charms for current occupants may be a good course of action. Mummy uses a combination at home, it is most effective when used properly.
