HEEEEY EVERYONE

Regarding the ongoing disaster that is tonight's anon post, I wanted to say something!!!! We joke a lot about ""GAYSBERRY"" and how this is a super liberal utopia for teens to ~find themselves~. It's a really nice fantasy and one that's personally helped ME a lot after two-and-a-half years at this school with all you fine people, but when it comes down to it, it's NOT a reflection of society at large and I guess it was only a matter of time for some jerks to start saying stuff that makes people FEEL UNSAFE again.

That really sucks!!!! I wanted Gooseberry to be better than that. When I was a freshman, the older LGBT students presented a GREAT MODEL for being unapologetically proud, and although I'm only a junior I guess I feel like I should be doing that too???? The only way we stop bigotry is by saying IT'S NOT OK and a bunch of you anons did a great job of that, so thanks!!!! And if you're still in the closet and you still feel unsafe, I'm REALLY SORRY. I hope you can be happy and proud of yourself and I hope you know, whenever you want it, that there's LOTS of people in this school who would be supportive of you. Like me!!!!! BUT LIKE, also a bunch of people who are way better than me because you know.

(Unless you're an LGBT student who was also a massive jerk today, in which case hey you can just goooooo awaaaaaay.)

FYI: I've got ZERO TOLERANCE when it comes to any comments that are abusive, hurtful, mocking or otherwise negative, so if you post stuff like that, I am not putting up with it. This isn't the anon post, it's MY POST. I might be cute and not too smart, but don't think I'm a pushover!!!!!
