FREEDOM!

The Most Glorious and Upstanding City of Hamilton is now officially Jesse-McBride-free and oh, it feels good!

The power came back on just in time for the Leafs–Rangers game! I'm no longer grounded! (It turns out that being snowed in for three days seemed like sufficient punishment to Gord and Flo!) I have two Healer Training applications ~~mostly~~ done! It's almost Christmas!

Basically, this feels exactly like Gooseberry except I don't have a makeout plague. Pity.

We're actually not supposed to be talking to prefects about it. But what else is there to know? It's just a guide about prefects. Personalities and shit.

He makes kids cry when they do stupid bullshit they shouldn't have been doing and he does his job, and he takes a lot of crap for it. Guess what? Prefects have emotions too, and there's a whole lot more of you than there are of us.

Whoever wrote the guide got the same punishment as half the school; I can almost guarantee you that it would have been a lot more severe if it had only been a few students. Half the school didn't write the elusive 'secret guide.' Park, you need to be so goddamn careful about this.

If it isn't so bad, why did you want to keep it a secret? Why did you want the writer to (presumably) remain anonymous?

You say it isn't a burn book or some slut-shaming tool. Good. The other things, like who doesn't care about enforcing the dress code, or who turns a blind eye to students making out, or if a Prefect is prone to partying — if you mention shit like that, it can be really bad for Prefects. And I know you so I'm expecting this guide to mention that kind of bullshit. It means that we're known for not doing our jobs whether or not many students give a shit, and it could end very poorly.
