Tomorrow, I'm going into NYC for my audition, and then whatever happens, I can throw myself back into the rest of the school year without that hanging over me, whatever happens afterwards.

It actually feels kind of liberating.

Drama Club

Turns out, they're also scouting for applicants for a wizarding drama major. Do I go for it? What can I even read?! Apparently most of it is to be prepared with a partner on the day, so they're giving people time to decide. But still.

Ooh. You're auditioning for the music program, right? Are you considering becoming a thespian, fair Helena?

Yeah, but apparently they're considering allowing people to double major in 'exceptional cases'. I figure it might be worth a shot even if I only got into one of the programs. Kind of like insurance.

You could absolutely do both. And why not? You were fantastic during the winter play. It would be a pity for you to leave drama behind completely.

Aw, thank you Ravi, that's so kind of you to say. I guess we'll find out. Just, if I happen to receive mail and start hyperventilating in early January, don't let people yell at me, yeah?

I swear to stand between you and anyone who might yell at you, my lady. Although, I honestly can't imagine why anyone would want to yell at you? Unless it's the adoring fans in the audience, clamouring loudly for an encore. Which... hmm, even then, no one should be yelling.

Oh... Of course you can ask, Tabitha. I'm [...] doing fine. All on track to become a Healer when I leave school. I have most of my applications done. If not for your party, I might not have looked up from these applications at all.

I mean if I'm being a pain in the ass at mail time, of course! I'm pretty sure Ms Thrussell or Mr Merrill would forgive me for being distracted in class the first week, at least.

Well, I'm glad you got a break! Even busy Healers-to-be need rest!

The rest of us will forgive you too. Somehow I imagine that several of us will be waiting on pins and needles for an owl response these next few months. [...] It's a bit much, isn't it? We still have half a year of high school left.

Yeah, you're right. I feel like it's going to be some phase like, 'Senior Anxiety Month' or something when most people's letters start coming, you know? I'm sure I remember one year where all the Auror, Healer and MACUSA letters came in at similar times. Maybe I dreamt it!

We should all make an effort to keep in touch, especially if we're further away from each other. Do you know where you'll be training?
