Cameron’s mama has found somewhere else to be tonight, so the kids have the run of the house. As with parties Cameron has held in the past, the rules are simple: have fun, don’t make too much of a mess, if you break something reparo it, and don’t try to get into any of the locked rooms (the master bedroom, office, and recording studio).

There are heavy hors d'oeuvres in the first floor kitchen, and plenty of alcohol - beer, liquor, wine, you name it. The house is decked out in Vegas/gambling themed decorations like giant foam dice and playing card garlands.

♠ FOYER; ARRIVING

Cameron is there to greet each and every person that arrives, and also hand them a small purple drawstring sack with “CARNEY’S AWESOME NYE PARTY 2013” embroidered in gold thread. Inside are 100 (faux) gold tokens with CC on one side and Cameron’s face on the other.

♠ LIVING ROOM; GAMBLING

The purpose of the tokens becomes apparent once you get to the living room, which has been turned into a CASINO! There are a few slot machines, as well as the standard games (black jack, poker, etc).

If your character would like to play, let us know below and we’ll RNG to let you know how much you won or lost. Characters are welcome to play until they go bust - but if your character loses all their money, they won’t get to redeem their winnings at the prize wall. Who wants to be the only person without a mustache ring and a guitar eraser?

IC, the NYE King/Queen will be crowned at midnight, honoring the attendee who managed to win the most. OOC, we’ll keep RNGing for you until 11:59 PM Eastern Time on 1/1, after which I’ll announce the winner.

♠ THEATER ROOM; KARAOKE

The theater room is set up with comfy couches and a screen the size of the wall. Tonight, there’s also speakers and a microphone hooked up. Karaoke time! The Carneys are fans of all kinds of music, so feel free to sing whatever you want!

♠ POOL; SWIMMING

Temperatures are hovering right above freezing tonight - but that’s downright balmy compared to Gooseberry winters! Plus, the saltwater pool is magically heated, so jump on in, the water feels great!

♠ DEN; HANGING OUT

If you don’t want to drink or gamble or play party games, why are you even here? Just kidding - Cameron just wants everyone to have a good time. So if you just want to hang out and chat, that’s okay too.

♠ PARLOR; PARTY GAMES

Party-goers looking for some games should head up to the the second floor living room (quaintly referred to as the parlor despite its impressive footprint). There will be truth or dare (rules), kissing games, and never have I ever (rules).

It’s STB/7MIH time again! There’s even a linen closet for Seven Minutes in Heaven. It’s roomy.

♠ OUTSIDE; MIDNIGHT FIREWORKS

Near midnight, Cameron encourages everyone to stop what they’re doing and come outside, where champagne and sparklers are handed out. The fireworks start about ten minutes til, crescendoing during the countdown, with a big finale at midnight.

After that, the NYE Queen/King is announced: Ennis Harper, with a total of 181 coins.

♠ BEDROOMS/LIVINGROOMS/ETC; SLEEPY TIME

Anyone and everyone is welcome to stay, but it’s up to you to figure out where, because Cameron isn’t organizing it. There are five unlocked bedrooms, including Cameron’s (and you’re welcome to sleep with him in his kingsize bed! … but he’s six and a half feet tall and flops). There are also plenty of couches and chairs, five full baths, and lots of floor space. Work it out.

Penny does in fact show up to this party wearing this little number. She gives Cam a semi forced but genuine enough smile and even an attempt at a friendly wave and hello. Her fingernails are painted black with silver & gold stars/fireworks and champagne glasses that An charmed to move!

Super excited to come to the party, Avery got dressed up in something Vegas-y and new years eve-y, because sparkles are fun. She gives Cam a big hug and thanks him for putting this all together!

Riley is very, very, very grounded. Don't worry. She devised a very clever plan for getting the hell out of Alaska, and that plan involved just fucking leaving. She (and Katya if she wants to go?) Apparated to Anchorage and then got a Portkey to Cam's place, completely ignoring the blaring alarms going off as she left the room she was supposed to be imprisoned in.

"CAMCAMCAMMY BEAR!!!" Riley screamed when she showed up looking like a goddamn trash fairy and threw her arms around him. "Gimme the cheater's coins, I wanna win a giant teddy bear."

Diego

After many hours of begging, promising, and pleading, Diego's parents finally allowed him to go to the party at the Carney home. There are a few rules, which include being home by 1:00 AM, and no drinking. Diego's been sufficiently scolded into submission, and has every intention of following his parents' instructions. As usual, Diego dresses interestingly.

This whole outing is a little last minute, and he has no idea which of his friends will be there. All he knows for sure is that Cecil and Levi won't be there... which means he won't have to even risk watching them kiss at the stroke of midnight. That's definitely a win. There is one thing he does in preparation for the party though, and that's sneak onto Mina's computer.

Apparently the "people I want to see" list won, because Quinn's at the party! And she's wearing an appropriately atrocious festive sweater! (But not completely like that image, it's just the sweater and a pair of leggings because she's not an animal.) Cameron gets a double thumbs-up for the party! And the house! She's determined to enjoy the last party for a while where the guilt of her Prefect badge doesn't hang over her head. AND. SHE. WILL.

Chris is coming straight from the compound Bc the compound was a competition and he won it. Noticeable here is that Chris also has a slight limp and is favoring his left leg. There appears to be some kind of burn on his hand but it's bandaged so it's alright. But Chris is not exactly known to turn down a party so hell yeah he's here.

Ravi shows up somewhat late, since he didn't have plans to come to this party until he got a certain message, and then spent the next 45 minutes fussing over his hair and clothing. Ravi does not know the first thing about dressing for a Vegas-themed NYE party.

He's never been to Vegas, and appropriately impressed by what he sees when he arrives at the Carney household. "Wow. Hello, Cameron!" Ravi is surprised too by the workmanship that went into the coins. "This is amazing. Did you make these yourself?"

Addy!

Is spending the rest of break with Sofia but would've wanted to come to this and would probably drag Sofia here too. She wore clothes. They were inevitably sparkly and dumb. I don't feel like searching for outfits and am a failure! She said thank you to Cam for hosting this and thought it is SO COOL HERE.
Also she brought Elmasry Potion because you can get sick outside of Gooseberry too.

ENNIS IS HERE!! It's not his usual scene, but he misses his friends a lot and the loneliness is crippling. He wasn't sure if he was supposed to dress up and the only thing dressy he really owns is the moth-suit he wore to Winter Formal, so he opted to dress like a thrift store rack instead. At least he looks warm?

He didn't know if he was supposed to bring the host a gift, so he brought one anyway to be polite. It's a scarf in Ebonhide colors. Because which sixteen year old boy doesn't want a hand-made scarf?

Right above freezing temperatures? Riley just left Alaska, where it's...actually probably about the same temperature as it is back at school, but whatever, SHE WANTS TO SWIM.
