2014 is really shaping up to be a great year! First, my parents said I could keep Goose (though obviously not here at school) Second, my parents are coming to school. I can't wait! They'll get to meet everyone and see what this place is like and it's going to be amazing.

I just hope dad can behave for an entire visit. ;)

He's so cute!! My cousin likes this old no-maj movie called Top Gun, though, which is why the confusing name. Plus, you know, Gooseberry.

Showing them is going to be so much easier than explaining to them. It's simply nothing like Hogwarts.

I've always wanted to see what Hogwarts was like. It sounds so different from here I can only imagine how cool it would be.

He is! Sort of. My dad works at this reserve and they found the egg when they were off exploring another section of the country. So they brought him back here to hatch and take care of him and get him socialized with the other dragons around here.

He might eventually go off, of course, but it can be dangerous out there if they don't have any way to learn the ropes. And some are happiest living on the reserve. So we'll see which he is! Basically he's mine to take care of and help until he gets old enough to figure out.

They just took the egg?! What about his real parents??

They died! Don't worry. We're not snatching up random eggs.
