(no subject)

Who: Aiden and Dominic
When: Saturday, September 24th, around 10am
Where: Quidditch
What: Early morning fun
Warnings: Explicit language and graphic violence!! Just kidding! PG-13 with perhaps a swear word or two, who knows.

Saturdays were meant for sleeping past noon and, while he appreciated sportsmanship, he did not like the idea of waking early. And by early he meant at 8 in the morning. But being the hardcore athletic someone-or-other that Aiden Guthrie was, he was up every Saturday by 8 in the morning. It took a lot for him to get ready, eat breakfast and all because he was a little sluggish at the start of the day. At that point, it was just nearly ten in the morning. Technically practice wasn't for another hour or so, but he was fully prepared to practice on his own for a while. He was excited to start the season and it showed by how annoyingly punctual he seemed.

There was still dew on the grass when he first crossed the threshold. There weren't too many people out there just yet, just a few who were also preparing for their own practice. He glanced around, quietly observing those around him. He was silent at first, simply watching and not approaching. However he saw a shadow from behind and, not wanting to seem rude and appear every bit the nice guy he was "supposed to be", he turned to greet his company. "Hey," he said as he placed his broom down a quick second to adjust the shirt of his uniform. "Glad to see I'm not the only early bird this morning."

Unlike others, Dominic actually was an early bird when it came to Saturdays (the fact he hadn't had a late patrol the night before certainly helped). By the time he had made the loop around the Quidditch pitch, on his return to Coppertale, he had already hiked up towards the Lake, towards school and then back again via Azurcrest. So it was that by the time he noticed the sophomore before him, he was breathing reasonably heavily, having worked up a gentle sweat on his morning work out.

"Morning, Guthrie" Dom replied, having lifted his hand to his eyes, shading them from the sun, so he could get a proper look at whoever was in front of him. "Though I've got to say, by my definition this sure isn't early."

He was jovial, of course. One of his rules was to avoid too much sarcasm with the younger years.
