Kurt waited until he could be back in his cabin to open it up. At first he was confused and checked the frog for some kind of prank filling — he would argue that he was barely suspicious but perhaps that wouldn't be entirely true. (Plus, it's not like the States was crawling with Chocolate Frogs; he wasn't too familiar with what they looked like.) When he realized it wasn't tampered with, though, he re-read the message. A couple moments of Intense Thought passed over his face.

In the end, he smiled a little smile. Maybe pretty bad people weren't pretty bad all the way through.

And hey: chocolate.
