i...... don't know? i would just call it a lanyard and if someone asked me to distinguish it from the ...... kind they give you at college campuses i'd probably gesture helplessly and say "braid?"

please don't take my word for it tho as i am not a lanyard expert and have not actually seen one since i was < 12 yrs old
