Is my tone very hard to read? Do you think it is [...] a
language thing? Or only a me thing?
[Warded to Leo]
Te amo.
How are you really? Be honest.

This is [...] probably unexpected, and I do not want you to feel bad. But I have something I want to ask you.
Will you please stop calling me Raf and use Rafa instead? It is not your fault. My brother picked Raf, and I never liked it. I still have a hard time telling Rico 'no'.
Leo/Rafael
I'm doing okay. Really. Promise. There's a lot going on. Tired, but that's not new. I'll be better when acceptance letters get here. I want to know what I can plan. Hopefully something. But. There's enough distractions lately to keep me from imagining how I'm gonna build a cardboard box into a house if I get rejected from everything. So. It's not too bad.
[...]How are you? Really.
Re: Leo/Rafael

Wherever we end up, I hope that it is together. Three more months is not enough time with you. You will never be homeless as long as I can do something about it.
Leo/Rafael
I know. I was thinking it'd be a nice box.
But no. You're stuck with me for a lot longer than three months. Whatever happens after school.
Are you okay?
Leo/Rafael
Whatever happens, I will be okay if you are there. And since you just promised you would be, I feel much better. I am only impatient to graduate.
Leo/Rafael
I don't know if that's better.
Of course I promise that. And we're almost there. Three months, that's nothing.
What's the first thing you want to do, once we're out?
Leo/Rafael
I want to meet your family.
Leo/Rafael
[...] Come home with me, for a while. Over the summer.
You should meet them. I should tell you about them first. [...] Which sounds bad. It isn't.
Leo/Rafael
They will not mind? [...] Your father was very nice, I should not be surprised. So, yes, I would like that. To go home with you and visit.
Leo/Rafael
Of course they wouldn't mind. They want to meet you.[...] It's small. But everyone's moved out except me so. It doesn't feel small usually.
My sister bugs me about this actually. Seeing you. But she's just nosy. She's a healer. Married, she has a daughter. I have two brothers too. One owns like three gyms already. The other one decided to be a no-maj fireman. So if you've ever wanted to go in a fire truck. They're all ten or so years older than me.
My parents work a lot too. They'll still have time to talk. And feed you.
Rafael/Ravi

Oh. I see. I'm sorry, Rafael. For what it's worth it, I've never struggled to read your tone. But... you're right, this may be a case of your reputation preceding you. People tend to assume I'm always... serious? Not exactly that. That I'll disapprove more than I actually will. The same sort of thing happens when people think of you.
Rafael/Ravi
I want to go home. I miss my parents, I even miss RYou are probably right. I need to be more careful. I have made myself a... standard? I should not try to make jokes, it only confuses things.
Rafael/Ravi
Although it is a little irritating to say "Do as we say, not as we do." Which I'm sure is a joke, but the prefects have been getting enough flack about being power-tripping hypocrites without fuelling the fire.
Raf [...] a
Dude. Of course I will.
I just thoughtWhy didn't youRafa's totally cute and it suits you anyway! Consider it done!
