Don't apologize sweetie, because it's not your fault they aren't happy! They have to feel their own feelings, and it's very important to the healing process. And we're allowed to feel happy, BECAUSE, someone has to win that cup, which means three teams worth of people are going to be moping at the end of the day so like the odds are against any of us starting out.

BUT, we can totally feel for them? Talk to them as they mope? Like, hey, what happened sucks, that's totally sucky, let's talk about how sucky it is until you feel less sucky.
