Thanks for making me feel welcome at Gooseberry (I suppose Reece and Oz helped too) and for being such a good mate to me. Hopefully, you can come to Edinburgh someday and I can return the favor. I hope you don't hate the idea; this gift might seem a bit obnoxious if you do. But I hope you like the scarf and enjoy the snashters just the same.

Happily informing Lachlan that 'Happy Birthday' is 'Feliz Cumpleaños' in Spanish, Jaime then attempts to pronounce the birthday wishes written on the note (it's a disaster). He thanks the other boy, gives him a hug, and pops a soor ploom in his mouth almost without making a face.

He's sleeping in his sweet new shirt and scarf tonight!! (It's not cold enough for the scarf but just try to stop him).
