I think I'm more like.. suited for being captain too, but they're not gonna pass up a senior for the job since he's not trash at cheer and he legit cares about it. So I don't know why he'd take any of that shit joking seriously. I'm not worried about it or anything, I'm sure he'll be fine at being captain and junk. He just gets too worked up about crap. And that's not your fault. [...] Yeah, I guess it might feel kinda bad to have your captain say that kinda stuff, though. I don't really help with that, either... maybe I need to cut down on the sass. Sometimes he just makes me so mad But he acts like I'm crap sometimes. And sure they're probably not going to give it to me, but that's not going to be because I'm bad at cheer. I just wish he'd like... maybe acknowledge that sometimes instead of acting like it's like. Don't count yourself out just yet, Hazel. You're really talented and you work really hard and you could make captain! You totally could. That's the recommendation I'll be making at the end of the year (whether Ms. Vector wants one or not) and I really think you've got a shot. I mean, look at Azurcrest. They've got plenty of talented seniors on their squad and Kenz still got picked instead of them. So don't give up. Show everyone what you've got during the Hogwarts game and keep working; it's all you can do. [...] Whoever ends up being captain, I just don't want either of you to come out of this with doubts. Especially not because I pitted you against each other.

Casey's [...] hard. When we got into it a few weeks ago, Cricket told me that he 'means less than he says and says less than he means'. And I think she might be right. I don't know. But he came through for me when I needed him to and he was a good guy about it when he didn't have to be. And I think we're in a better place now because of it. I'm not saying he doesn't screw up or that he should say the shit he does without consequence. But he's trying. You know? And we've all got stuff that we're working on.
