[WARDED TO ASHER GUTHRIE]
Hi. Are you busy
I need to talk to you
I have an idea, and you're not going to like it

[WARDED TO DIEGO MORALES]
Hello. Are you all having fun out there?
Hello. Are you all having fun out there?
Ravi/Asher
It's good that it seems like it's working on mice, but... hm. Mr. Elmasry doesn't have any ideas outside of a true trail? Though, I suppose there's nothing outside of that that could give you an real idea of if it works or not.
Trying it on yourself would certainly be easier but also is definitely not an option. Way too dangerous. [...]
You know that, right? What's the timeline looking like in terms of getting human testing off the ground? It must still be a viable option, right? Just annoying?Ravi/Asher
Well, he suggested I could make a presentation on my findings so far, in hopes of attracting a company that can do proper clinical trials. But that seems rather underwhelming, especially when other people have working prototypes of their projects.
Our projects are due mid-June, so we have a month, and I'd rather be using that month to work on my paper, and this presentation... Not to mention, studying for exams? I mean, it might not be that dangerous. None of the mice have gotten hurt.
Ravi/Asher
You've done a lot of good work, though - just because it feels underwhelming doesn't mean it's not serious progress that's worth recognition. Maybe do as much as the write-up as you can without results while you've got the ball rolling on trying to get a clinical trial? That way if it comes through you just need to do some result write-up, and if it ends up being to cumbersome to get trials you'll have something ready to go with work so far?
As for testing on yourself, I mean, it's less dangerous than testing it without having run trials on mice first, but still. I assume ingredient proportions need to be different between humans and mice, so it might not go right on the first try, plus without the structure and failsafes of a trail you're just asking for trouble.
[...]
You're not honestly considering that as an option, are you?
Ravi/Asher
You're right, I suppose. I've done quite a bit of work on my report already, but I could spend some time fine-tuning it. You know me, I just hate trying to plan around uncertainties, especially when the deadline's fast coming up.
[...] No, no, no, no. Of course not. I'd need to [...] sort out more of the details. Mr. Elmasry approved of my reformulation for human usage, but he said there's still quite a few unknown factors. [...] I'm not that reckless, I promise.
Ravi/Asher
I know it's less than ideal, but what you've done is amazing; don't let your over-achieving brain talk you out of that. You can run things by me if you want, and I can read over your report? It's the least I can do - we can have one last act of mutual suffering before we have to go out into the world.
[...]
And yeah, I know you're not that reckless.
