I suspect he may go to prom to spite me, since I requested he not tell our parents if I have a date. Certainly I cannot ask him if he is going. He will absolutely go if he sees that I do not want him to.

However, event committee has to come in useful for this somehow.

That he would not keep it from our parents. That I have never done anything for him to warrant him keeping his silence for me. When I reminded him that I have, in fact, kept my silence about several things in the past, he called it blackmail and then said he never asked me to so it doesn't count and he doesn't owe me anything.
