MVSC PHOTOBOOTH

Just like the last game, Micah St. Clair brought out his magical photobooth, which takes animated wizarding photos. It was set to not simply spit out a line of four shots, but to generate trading cards! Dahlia Hale and Adeline Foster-Hayes paid Micah for their respective house teams to get cards made. Mr. Oakes will once again explain to anyone nosy that, no, Mr. St. Clair isn't running a lucrative business out of the artificing shed. Rather, this money goes into a fund that Mr. Oakes uses to help Micah order expensive photography supplies.

After posing, you end up with something a little like this:

RULES

• Only Azurcrest and Ebonide Quidditch and Cheer may get a photo taken.


• The cards list your character's name, position, birth date, hometown, height and weight, and there's an additional magically generated blurb that can get a little quirky. It seems to be the result of a charm that tries a little too hard to say flattering things about the subject.


• (Calvin designed this particular charm, but all attempts to make it a little less backhanded and a touch more coherent have so far failed. Micah repeatedly assures him that their son or daughter is perfect just the way he/she is.)


• If your character had their photo taken, the cards will be distributed randomly for trading and collecting!


• Calvin Evercreech, who's still being a less-than-charming assistant standing outside the booth, maintains the questionable promise that if you collect them all, Micah St. Clair will give you a kiss.


• ... If you do, in fact, want to collect them all, please make a comment titled GOTTA CATCH' EM ALL under Collectors, and we'll RNG how many of the 32 total cards they managed to get their hands on. Reward kisses are not guaranteed, as Calvin lacks the authority to tell his classmates who they have to lock lips with.

» trading cards: If your character got their photo taken, respond here. Until 11:59 PM midnight, the mods will generate weird, random complimentary blurbs about the posing characters. Remember: this is only for Ebonhide and Azurcrest Quidditch and Cheer. This event won't come back until next year!

» collectors: Is your character looking for a specific card? Trying to collect all 32?!

Essie!!!

Essie is SUPER EXCITED that it's Azurcrest's turn with the photobooth. When she gets inside, she puckers up for the camera, shows off her recent hardwork in the weight room by flexing her arms, and throws in some superhero posing for good measure. This may very well be her last time on the Azurcrest Cheer Squad and she's going to make it memorable!

Sofia

Sofia is PUMPED to have her very own trading card. She's gonna frame that shit. When she gets into the booth she gives the camera her signature stare down before the corners of her lips twist up into a cute smile. There may be a Wonder Woman pose, too.

Ulysses

Loves few things more than positive attention and fun knickknacks, so this is up his alley. Unfortunately he's pretty nervous about the game, which means he has spent all day lite flavour feeling like he was gonna throw up. His pose is more subdued than one might expect — just standing there with his arms crossed, frowning slightly. After a couple of shots, he rolls his shoulders and manages to relax into a smile. Hopefully, something less than somber made it through.

Nia

No one should be surprised that Nia loves pictures of herself. She bounces into the booth in full cheer regalia, does a few very peppy cheerleader poses, shaking her pom-poms and then caps it off by tossing them and then doing this. I don't even know what it is but it seems quite dramatic. So there's that.

Vee!

This seems like such a fun idea, Vee can't turn it down! She gets in and does a few cute poses, over the shoulder signature smiles and cute looks, before blowing a kiss at the end.

Etta

[unregrettable]

Etta can't wait to get inside the photobooth. She probably still has one of her signed photos from February knocking around somewhere, but these are trading cards which makes them a hundred times better. She poses confidently, hands on hips, and winks at the camera before showing off by flexing and preening a little. If she's at all nervous about the upcoming game, you'd never guess it from the huge smile on her face.

Leo

I hope it's safe to go ahead and assume his Quidbabies maybe talked him into this. It doesn't take much, today. He wouldn't want to ruin the set. And this seems like a cool thing to give his dad when he graduates, for him to keep in his wallet for the rest of his life.
So Leo subjects himself to the camera. He definitely glares at it through the session, unsure of what else to do with his face exactly.
But if you stick around to the end there's a pulse of a smile because he realizes how ridiculous it is to glare down an innocent camera.

Solo

This is so cool and so professional. Their own trading card!

Solo is the opposite of intimidating. It's fine, he doesn't try to glare down the camera. Instead, he's beaming the entire time.

Dru

Dru treats this entire affair like taking a selfie. She takes the selfie with a taco.

Jeffy!!

Jeffy jumps in front of the camera and gives enthusiastic finger guns. He's really stoked on this, and not just because it's leading up to the last game of the year, THIS PHOTOBOOTH IS REALLY COOL YOU GUYS.

Riley Mae

OH LOOK, IT'S A THING TO CAPTURE RILEY'S BEAUTIFUL APPEARANCE. Her hair is blue with white streaks today to support her BEAUTIFUL BLUE JAY BABIES and when she jumps in front of the camera she does a couple high kicks and throws her pom-poms up in the air.

Dahlia

Dahlia turns her hat backwards and strikes a couple very serious supermodel poses. Look how serious and and high fashion she is Ma.

Clem!

Jaime

Jaime is alllll over this business. Unsurprisingly, he's a ham in front of the camera, winking and flexing and even trying a sultry pose. He's going to be thrilled no matter what his card ends up like.

Casper

Casper knows that at least one member of his team will bother him relentlessly if he fails to show up and have a card made so he begrudgingly turns up at the photobooth. He wears a severe, serious expression that his teammates know very well. It's a little intimidating.

Cecil

Cecil doesn't like having his picture taken alone; it makes him feel awkward and he never knows quite what to do. But he knows that he wants cards of his friends and teammates, so not showing up doesn't seem fair. Inside the booth, he pulls in a breath and smiles as naturally as he can.

Micah (and Calvin!!)

Yeah yeah yeah yeah Micah already got a trading card made for himself (because I was remarkably out of it when it was Coppertale/Ribbonfin's turn), but he's allowed to! This is HIS creation!!!

His and Calvin's. Which is why they need to commemorate the occasion with a shared card. Micah drags Calvin into the booth with him and throws his arm around the other boy's shoulders. "Smile, Calvin!"

GOTTA CATCH' EM ALL: Essie!!!

Once again, Essie is trying to collect all the cards she possibly can, but she absolutely wants a card of Diego and herself, DUH. And maybe some multiples of both of them, so she can send them back home to their moms.

Oh and don't forget an Ari card!! And a Jeffy card!! And all her other best friends!!

And a Wilde card.

Guess who's still sitting outside the photobooth handling the line of people going in to get their cards made! He's not in as bad of a mood this time, but it's Calvin, so good and bad moods are all relative. Where's Micah? Who knows. Calvin says he's "very busy", but promises that Micah will definitely make time in his tight schedule for that promised kiss. ... Calvin's tone is less-than-convincing.
