[Ribbonfin]
Can the next party not be in Ribbonfin? I would prefer not to have to deal with the inevitable rebellion against these "new" rules within our own camp if at all possible.

...oh, I hadn't even thought of that. Yes, agreed. Please no parties for awhile, Ribbonfin. I believe it's Ebonhide or Coppertale's turn now.

[Isaiah]
Is this being handled poorly, do you think?

It's sort of my fault. I got angry after the casual use during our campfire party, and now Coppertale and Azurcrests' prefects have to deal with their houses being in revolt.

...Sorry, that's a bit melodramatic. I won't say you're wrong, all these substances are still considered school contraband, and I can't say I'd be disappointed to see it all gone. But at least now people have to choose to go to the Grotto if they want to exposed to alcohol and pot smoke.

Oh, you're right. You're right. You know me, I can't help worrying and making everything my business.

Ha, I'm quite certain half of Ribbonfin flipped past Rafael's double pages of rules thinking "oh, finally," and the other half went "wait, there's drugs at this school?"

You're always reassuring, Isaiah. Thank you. I'd worry at you more, but I suspect you're happier not being involved with this kind of thing.

I promise, in the extreme unlikelihood that I ever get drunk, I will not force you to carry me back to the cabin.

I vote Coppertale. Then there's still Ebonhide to pace things out before it goes back to Azurcrest.

I didn't go to that one, for obvious reasons. I'm gonna assume it was loud, though.

Wouldn't surprise me if they have extra wards up there!

You know, it might be possible. I was at that Azurcrest party, and Diego one of them spent several minutes explaining all the wards they have for catching people who might fall off the cliff. In ten years, I'm sure some teacher thought of muffling the noise coming down that hill.

I was thinking more like one of the students would have managed it, possibly.

I'll send your recommendation to Rafael and Tess. Although I'm not sure anyone can convince Coppertale to do anything.

Hey, it's only a suggestion. Not a command.

I am all for that.

I'm pretty sure we've only ever had one party, and it led to a list of rules that I was already blindly and uncoolly attempting to enforce, so you're probably in luck there.

It's relaxing, isn't it? "Oh, our parties aren't fun, why don't you let someone else do all the work and handle those expectations...?"

This is what we get for not going to all the cool parties. I didn't even realize until this year that anyone was getting high. Where are people even getting this stuff?

And, of course, as the oldest child I am blissfully ignorant to the generosity of those just barely of age. I hope my little brother doesn't expect the same from--

Wait, no, never mind, he'll just ask Sy.

I did know these things happen at the Grotto and Azurcrest parties, so I suppose I should have known better, but I honestly thought our classmates would exercise better judgement with the gentle plea to leave the troublemaking at home.

I'm sorry if you were put into a difficult position, Ravi.

I feel like we should have training parties for all the prefects so we know what to expect, and you guys don't have to worry about it. "Ah, Interhouse Scenario 35b? No worries, we have this all under control."

Sounds like the prefects could benefit from joining a LARP session. Trying to get some of those characters in line would definitely count as meaningful job preparation.

Good point! If you can wrangle a chaotic half-orc, then you can probably handle an Azurcrest freshman.

Definitely a good idea. I certainly didn't expect our party would become quite so memorable when I suggested it.

Still, this shouldn't dissuade us from coming together as a House and having a good time. But for now, any Ribbonfin parties should probably stay Ribbonfin only.

I'm staying out of it. It's causing a lot more trouble than I'm sure that one guy meant for it to.
